columbus November EventsAs cold weather rolls in, Metro Columbus prepares a warm welcome for the holiday season! We’ve put together a sampling of special events taking place throughout November. Mark the calendar with your favorites!

Wildlights – Columbus Zoo

November 17 through January 1. Experience a dazzling display of over 3 million LED lights from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.! Plus live reindeer, visits from Santa and more. See the Columbus Zoo website for details and dates of operation.

Gardens Aglow – Franklin Park Conservatory

November 18 through January 3. Surround yourself with the cheer of poinsettias, winter foliage and holiday lights. There’s also a gingerbread house competition, model railway display and special entertainment.

Gahanna Holiday Lights Celebration

November 19. Enjoy a variety of family fun including live reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, crafts, games, live music and more! Food and refreshments available for purchase. 2 p.m. – 7 p.m., Gahanna Creekside District.

Columbus Commons Holiday Lights

November 21 through January 2. Featuring over 320,000 dazzling holiday lights. Stroll through the park, then cross High Street and browse vintage displays in the Lazarus Building. Holiday lights shown from dusk to 11 p.m.

Columbus Turkey Trot

November 23. Everyone who participates in this uniquely Columbus Thanksgiving Day tradition gets a free goodie bag and a pumpkin pie!  Choose either the 5-mile course, or the 2-mile “Walk N’ Talk” route. Register online and see website for packet pick-up and other instructions.

Worthington Holiday Open House & Tree Illumination Ceremony

November 26. The charming shops of Downtown Worthington welcome you to their holiday open house from noon to 5:00 p.m. with shopping specials and refreshments. Gather at the Southeast Village Green at 5:30 p.m. for the tree lighting ceremony.

Dublin Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 30. Enjoy a variety of family entertainment at Coffman Park while awaiting the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa will be available for photos after the tree lighting. Other holiday-themed photo areas will be set up around the park. 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
