Columbus 4th of July There’s plenty to do in Metro Columbus during the month of July! From spectacular Independence Day celebrations, to music festivals and county fairs, you’ll find it all in Central Ohio. Here’s a rundown of some popular events happening in July!

July 1 – Red, White and BOOM! This City of Columbus Independence Day celebration features day-long events leading up to the regions’ most fantastic fireworks display. Enjoy delicious food, craft beers, live music, a children’s play area, a downtown parade, and the largest fireworks display for miles around. Downtown street closings begin at 11 am., with festivities beginning at noon. Parade at 6 pm, stepping off at the Main Street Bridge. Fireworks at 10 pm.

July 4th – Worthington Family Picnic & Fireworks: Enjoy an old-fashioned Fourth on the lawn of Thomas Worthington High School. The celebration includes food, live music, games and much more! Event begins at 4:00 p.m. with fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

July 4th – City of Dublin Independence Day Celebration: Pop-rock icon Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and KC and the Sunshine Band will headline the City of Dublin’s Independence Day Celebration. A full day of fun begins with parade at 11:00 a.m., live music begins at 4:30 p.m. All guests four and older will need a stadium wristband to enter. July 4th – Upper Arlington Fourth of July Celebration: This all-day, family-friendly event begins with a parade at 9:00 a.m., with the “Party in the Park” following at 5:00 p.m., and an impressive fireworks display at 10:00 p.m.

July 8-10 – Ohio Wine Festival at North Market: Celebrating its 15th year! The Ohio Wine Festival brings 20 of Ohio’s finest wineries together at North Market. Various ticket levels are available, starting at $25 in advance, $30 at the door. All admissions include a $5 North Market Food Voucher, 10 wine tasting tickets, and a souvenir wine glass, while supplies last. ID required, wine tasters must be 21 and older.

July 15 – A Taste of Worthington: This hometown, outdoor food festival has a block-party atmosphere while being family-friendly. The event promotes local restaurants, caterers, bakeries and others in the food industry. Play area for the kids includes a bounce-house and activities.

July 16-23 – Franklin County Fair: Located in Hilliard, this traditional Ohio county fair brings you classic family fun. Enjoy exhibits, farm animals, carnival rides and games, plus special grandstand entertainment daily.

July 22-24 – Columbus Jazz and Ribs Fest: 3 big days! Experience 3 stages of live music, featuring local, regional and international jazz artists. Savor the best bbq ribs, chicken and more from around the country. Free admission, buy your food and drink as you wish.

July 30 – Whitehall Food Truck and Fun Festival: Sample the wares of 25 different food vendors, while enjoying live music and entertainment on two stages. There is also an eclectic marketplace and a kid’s area.
