After being compared to the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the country, Columbus placed #10 in the “Easy to Buy” index. Home affordability in Columbus is complimented by a healthy job market and good economic conditions.

Columbus is also ranked among the “20 Hottest Real Estate Markets” based on industry data for July 2015, compiled by Realtor.com. Columbus placed as the 15th “hottest” market, according to buyer activity. Buyer activity includes the number of views-per-listing and the age of home inventory on the market.

On the average, cities on the “hottest markets” list had 3 times as much online home browsing activity as other metros. Home sales in the hottest markets were also happening 24 to 41 days faster than the national average. A good balance of home supply and demand is another element in these top markets.
